Pursuant to the Law, enterprises, institutions and organisations of all forms of ownership, public authority or local self-government bodies, individual entrepreneurs who process personal data in compliance with the law are considered as owners or administrators of a personal database.
A personal database is subject to obligatory State registration, when the authorized public authority body in charge of personal data protection makes a corresponding entry in the State Register of Personal Databases.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine shall ratify the Decree on the State Register of Personal Databases and the procedure of its administration.
A relevant bill was registered under Reg. No. 2273.
